Mo'zes
The blazing sun called his name
Mo'zes,,
As he walked through streets of flame.
Not by fire of wood, nor ash, or coal,
but burning doubt upon his soul.
A king with weathered hands,
Born on forgotten lands.
His skin held midnight, deep and rich,
Echoing the ancestors fine tuned pitched.
Temptation adorned in polished gold,
Selling comfort, stealing the bold.
Around him the kingdom moved blind,
Addicted to the restless mind.
While sacred rivers ran inside,
Concrete jungles silenced heinous cries.
A language only stars inherit,
Made a call to his spirit.
He heard the drum beneath the noise,
With ancient thunder in its voice.
The darkness knew his hidden light,
And met him every single night.
Fear became a jealous thief, planting shadows underneath.
He wrestled pride upon the mountain,
and washed his anger in forgiveness' fountain.
He buried vengeance in the sand,
And let compassion shape his hand.
